Within 30-90 days, you could be the proud owner of a new Pretzelmaker franchise! The steps to becoming an owner come in four major categories: Apply, Meet, Sign, and Open.
Step 1: Apply
First, request an online application by filling out our form. Once you receive the application via email, take some time to fill it out completely. While we wait for your completed application, we will reach out to you through email and phone.
Once we have received your application, you will receive the Franchise Disclosure Document, or FDD. Study the FDD to understand the Pretzelmaker franchise offering, including a Financial Performance Representation. Along with the FDD, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt; sign and return that acknowledgement so that we know everything is on track.
Step 2: Meet
Once you have reviewed the FDD on your own, one of our representatives will contact you by phone to go over the document with you. The purpose of this call is twofold: First, it will help you by answering any questions you may have. Second, it will help us gain an understanding of your growth plans, areas of interest, and general fit with Pretzelmaker.
After this call, spend some time meeting other franchise owners—virtually or in person. Learn about their experiences with Pretzelmaker, which can help you learn what to expect as you franchise with us.
Upon approval of your application, you will be invited to visit our headquarters in Atlanta to meet our team in person or in the field. We setup calls with multiple departments such as; marketing, operations, and our real estate team. These are the people with whom you will be working as you open and operate your franchise. We will also run credit and background checks and have our executive team review each candidate for approval. Once approved, you’re off to the signing phase.
Step 3: Sign
We will send you copies of the Franchise Agreement. Sign the Franchise Agreement and pay the franchise fee agreed upon in your Franchise Agreement. Once we receive these, we will sign them and send you back an original copy for your records.
Step 4: Open
Once signed, you will need to begin locating a site. Scour the market and/or utilize our real estate team for help. Once a site has been identified and has met brand standards, the construction team is available to offer advice on how to build your store. As your store is being built, begin your pre-opening marketing and advertising with the help of our marketing team.
When your store is finished, your marketing has been done, and your employees hired, it is finally the moment you have been waiting for: your grand opening!
